We would always advice that you take advice before signing a new contract of employment and any associated documentation. In the UK, both a contract of employment and a bond agreement are legally enforceable documents.

The IPA has recently secured full settlement of a case involving a pilot flying a private jet on a contract, rather than as an employee, where the company refused to pay holiday monies owning after the aircraft was relocated.

The current cost of obtaining a frozen ATPL and type rating for say, an A320, is circa £130,000 yes, £130,000. If you have been to university before this, you probably already have a debt of circa £110,000 as well.
