Why The IPF?

How many times have we heard:-

Some of us have decided to do something about it, we formed the IPF.

You have no-doubt seen information on the IPF and maybe thought that it is too small to be of any practical use, however, the IPF is representing members interests and negotiating on their behalf already and our numbers are steadily growing.

So if you want to be represented by a Union that believes that:-

  1. All its members are of equal importance.
  2. Each individual problem, no matter how small, is of great concern to the individuals affected and requires the appropriate response.
  3. It's members should decide what level of membership and what  legal cover best suits them.
  4. Table thumping is of no practical value, but quiet reasoned negotiation is.
  5. Your voice should be heard and that you should be able to have an effective input into the way your Union is run and where you would be most welcome if you would like to participate more actively in the running of your Union.
  6. Subscriptions should be kept as low as possible, within the bounds of running a small, responsive organisation.
